Overview

SafeView is a Chrome extension that automatically detects and blurs explicit or suggestive images and videos as you browse the web. All processing happens entirely on your device using a locally bundled AI model. No data ever leaves your browser.

Data Collection

SafeView does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information
• We do not record or transmit the images or videos you view
• We do not track your browsing history or the websites you visit
• We do not use cookies or any tracking technologies

Local Storage

The extension stores the following data locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage API:

• Your preferences (on/off toggle, sensitivity setting, button visibility)
• Aggregate counts of images scanned and blurred (used only to display stats in the extension popup)

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to anyone other than you.

Third Parties

SafeView does not share any data with third parties. The extension makes no network requests.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
